About the Organization

The Arkansas Association of Real Estate Inspectors (A.K.A. AAREI) was founded almost 30 years ago to help develop and protest the emerging Home Inspection industry in the state of Arkansas. As Arkansas' first and only remaining professional association of home inspectors, AAREI's roots run deep in a group of committed individuals who wanted to safeguard and protect, not only the consumers of a home inspection, but the home inspectors themselves. The current leadership of AAREI continues in this tradition of service to the business and consumers alike.

Before the State of Arkansas became a licensure state, the Arkansas Association of Real Estate inspectors was ground zero for much of the home inspection training and communication between businesses performing home inspections in the state.

When it became evident that licensure and regulation of the Home Inspection industry were inevitable and unavoidable, the Arkansas Association of Real Estate inspectors was at the forefront by providing feedback and input into the new laws that were being drafted to regulate and oversee the home inspection industry.

AAREI is dedicated to protecting the home inspection industry in Arkansas from potentially harmful regulations and policies that could damage the industry. AAREI continues to stay at the forefront by watching over upcoming legislation and laws that could impact the home inspection industry. A significant part of AAREI's annual budget is invested each year to hiring a professional lobbyist to review all upcoming legislation for potentially damaging laws and regulations. Bob Balhor was our lobbyist for years, and did an outstanding job alerting AARI membership and leadership of upcoming legislation that he thought might actually harm home inspectors or the home inspection industry in the state. Many AAREI officers and members have taken time from their busy lives and businesses to testify before legislative committees, and to meet with lawmakers in order to protect the home inspection industry. Your AAREI dues go far beyond just providing continuing education. They help provide saftey and security for the home inspection industry.

Additionally, AARIE continues to provide the continuing education needed to comply with licensure renewal that is mandated by the Arkansas Home Inspector Registration Board. By carefully following the legal guidelines, AAREI provides home inspectors with the continuing education needed to keep their licenses in good standing.

Home Inspectors have a choice where to invest their Continuing Education dollars. Why not invest your money where it helps protect your livelihood? Join AAREI today!
